NANNI FONTANA

nanniBorn in Milan in 1975. After a BA in International Financial Markets Economy at Bocconi University I decided to change path and become a photojournalist. In recent years, hypochondria and curiosity led me around the world to work mainly on maternal and child health related issues. I’ve also photographed some indigenous minorities, the gangs in Central America, the journeys of His Holiness, the disabled children in northern India and the young people who live on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. I have exhibited in Italy and abroad and published on national and international newspapers and magazines. In 2017 I won the Amerigo award, presented to journalists whose work served to advance mutual understanding between Italy and the U.S.
